ABOUT THE PROCESS
Stage 1
INITIAL CONSULTATION
- Conduct an on-site meeting to discuss critical project elements
- Review plans, budget, and timeline while identifying your goals and priorities
- Explain our process and work together to establish a clear Scope of Works
- Prepare a Design Proposal and Fee Estimate following the meeting
- Present the finalized Design Proposal and Contract for your review
Stage 2
- Client briefing session to present our research and findings
- Budget forecast outlining all estimated project costs
- Presentation of design concepts, budget estimates, and schematic plans
BRIEFING & CONCEPT
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
- Adjust schematic designs according to your feedback
- Confirm selections for fittings, fixtures, furniture, accessories, and materials
- Revise the Budget Forecast to reflect any changes
- Deliver a Design Development presentation, including an updated budget and finalized selections for materials and fittings
- Hold a meeting with key contractors to review the concept, costs, project feasibility, and schedule
- Present the completed Design Program for your review
Stage 3
DOCUMENTATION PACKAGE
- Transition schematic designs into tender documentation
- Produce detailed technical drawings
- Convert product presentations into organized schedules
- Deliver the full tender documentation package
- Gather feedback, make amendments, and secure your approval
Stage 4
TENDER ESTIMATION
- Submit the tender documentation package to contractors
- Evaluate submissions regarding costs and timelines
- Gather final quotes for all fittings, fixtures, and materials
- Develop and present the project estimate along with a tender review
- Incorporate client feedback and make necessary adjustments
- Secure client approval on the project estimate
Stage 5
DESIGN MANAGEMENT
- Clients and contractors complete and sign their contracts/agreements
- Establish the commencement date for the project
- Contractors prepare the building program, highlighting key delivery dates for fixtures, fittings, and equipment
- Order furniture and accessories
- Schedule on-site meetings every two weeks during construction
- Conduct a walkthrough with trades for the handover at practical completion
Stage 6
CLIENT HANDOVER
- Compile handover documents, including product details and warranties
- Coordinate furniture deliveries and oversee installation
- Celebrate with a champagne toast!
- Gather final feedback from the client
- Carry out a final walkthrough of the project
- Address any defects or discrepancies
- Organize styling and photography for the completed space
